The sports-themed restaurant started by two LSU students is moving into Fremaux Town Center off Interstate 10 in Slidell, according to a news release from Stirling Properties, which manages the shopping complex.

Baton Rouge-based DBMC Restaurants, one of the largest franchisees of Walk-On’s, recently closed on the purchase of 1.5 acres at the corner of Fremaux Avenue and Town Center Parkway near the entrance to the shopping center. Construction began last month on the 8,000-square-foot restaurant, scheduled to open in June.

Stirling Properties senior sales and leasing executive Ryan Pecot represented the property owners in the sale. Tommy Vervaeke of Carlton & Associates Real Estate worked with Walk-On’s to secure the location.

There are 17 Walk-On’s in Louisiana. Another is located in Stirling Properties’  River Chase development in Covington.
