
The average price of a new single-family house in the United States reached $373,100 in January, according to the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. The median sales price — half the homes were lower and half higher — of new houses sold in January was $317,200.
Sales of new single-family houses in January stood at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 607,000.
