Cromwell Architects Engineers of Little Rock said this week that it has opened a satellite office at 109 West Emma Ave. in Springdale.

The office is led by Regional Director Josh Danish. He is a graduate of the Fay Jones School of Architecture & Design at the University of Arkansas and has 15 years of experience in the field.

“Whatever scale we can provide to help revitalize downtown, we want to take part. We hope moving our offices into the area will encourage other businesses to move and drive economic development in downtown Springdale,” COO Dan Fowler said in a news release.

After more than 40 years in downtown Little Rock’s Convention District, the firm recently moved its headquarters to the former Stebbins & Roberts Building in the East Village area of Little Rock.

Called The Paint Factory, the complex is also home to 12 Star Flats, Catheads Diner, the Printshop and a community room called the Mixing Room. The Paint Factory renovation is the flagship project of a larger revitalization of East Village.

“Just as we’ve done with our headquarters in East Village, we plan to help revitalize downtown Springdale and hope to announce a major development project soon,” Fowler said.

Cromwell’s previous northwest Arkansas projects include the new ArcBest Corp. headquarters, OurPharma, Washington Regional Medical Center, the Cadence Apartments, and work for the City of Fayetteville Planning Department.

The firm has also worked on the Leflar Law Center, the Art and Design District, Yocum Hall, and the Innovation Center (the first LEED-certified building in the Arkansas) at the UA.
